Rail Industry Awards Scheme
We are currently writing to all companies to announce the re-introduction of a nationwide scheme that will recognise meritorious actions by members of your staff whilst carrying out first aid.
Once registered (which is free of charge) if your company considers that an individual's efforts have excelled over and above their normal duties in rendering first aid, forward their details with a short summary to RIFAA.
These awards can range from a meritorious certificate issued by RIFAA, for your presentation to the individual, to the candidate being put forward for external recognition.
This year we are also creating three categories of 'First Aider of the Year' awards that will have national publicity. The first will be presented at the forthcoming Network Rail Track Safety Quiz being held on 10th April 2003 at the International Conference Centre, Birmingham (see attached file).
